Manama, Bahrain, September 3rd, 2008: The Kingdom’s Civil Defence recently conducted a closely coordinated field drill on fire fighting and rescue operations, at the Global Banking Corporation’s (GBCORP) iconic headquarters in Manama.
A team of fire fighters from the Bahrain Civil Defence carried out extensive search and rescue operations on all levels of the building ensuring that staff working in the building is well versed on all safety and security measures and that the building met with all fire safety and security standards.
After the drill, Civil Defence authorities awarded the GBCORP Tower the Certification for Fire Safety in recognition of its complete compliance with Bahrain’s fire safety standards.
The officer who supervised the drill, praised the cooperation of the employees and tenants at the GBCORP Tower, and described their reaction as a responsible and synchronized evacuation.
GBCORP is an Islamic investment bank and commenced operations in Bahrain in June 2007. GBCORP recently relocated to the new GBCORP Tower at the Kingdom of Bahrain’s leading financial district, the Bahrain Financial Harbour. |
